Background:
There was a period of two years, from the end of Maxwell Horse in 2004 up until the summer of 2006, that I didn't pay any attention to writing lyrics or making music with vocals in mind. But after piggybacking on a friend's gig and playing three of my old songs, I realized how much I missed it, and started to once again fit words to chords, as I've been doing off and on since I first picked up the guitar. This project is ten tunes, all written in the last six months save two which I wrote years ago but never seemed right for the band.
All tracks are solo guitar with one or more tracks of vocals, recorded at home in Oaxaca on four-track cassette.
